The instructions includes product identifiers that are used for urls, paths and general naming of kits within installation instructions. This is to be able to provide "generic" installation instructions. Each kit has its own set of identifiers. The identifiers are enclosed within angle brackets <identifier> to help you understand where to replace the information depending of which kit you are working with.

Always (re)move your old kit folder from your Modo kit folder before installing the new version.
Your may run this license simultaneously on two (2) workstations unless the product specification explicitly state other terms.
The identifier <productid> for the different kits are found at the top of this page.

AVX2, AVX and SSE are specialized instruction sets (SIMD) for your CPU. In order to find out what your CPU supports please take a look at the instructions at the bottom of the product checkout page for your kit.
We strongly recommend to use Intel's Identification Utility or CPU-Z as the general information on internet is less reliable. There are often differences between Workstation and Laptop version classified CPUs. If you know exactly what CPU model and version you have and don't want to use the recommended tooling, please use the CPU manufacturer site as your source of information.

Discrete particles ships with a kit version supporting ARM based Macs running MacOS 11 -12 utilizing Rosetta.
Install the zip file labled "mac_SSE4.2" according to the general installation instructions (1) above.
Once you have installed the kit and start Modo MacOS Security Gatekeeper might prompt you with a dialog containing a message similar to this... "The app cannot be openend because the developer cannot be verified". This happens because the software has not been notarized.
